The Adventure of the Seas is an Explorer Class ship in the Royal Caribbean International fleet. Although originally constructed in 2001. the Adventure of the Seas underwent a significant $61 Million dollar refurbishment in November 2016, which introduced a robust array of all-new thrills and enhancements, including new dual racer water-slides, Cyclone and Typhoon, the popular FlowRider surf simulator, and a children’s aquapark, Splashaway Bay. In addition, guests will enjoy a new lineup of culinary and entertainment venues with Izumi Japanese Cuisine, the brand’s signature steakhouse, Chops Grille and Boleros Latin Lounge. The ship also will receive more than 100 new staterooms, a refresh of all existing staterooms and a brand new Suites Lounge for the luxury traveler.
Other features offered on the Voyager-class ship include the Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, three pools including the adults-only Solarium, a rock climbing wall, basketball court, Windjammer Café, Johnny Rockets and the three-story Main Dining Room. Adventure also delivers exhilarating entertainment options, with complimentary Broadway-style entertainment in the main theater, ice-skating shows in Studio B, and the lively Royal Promenade with its parties, parades, dance and shopping outlets.
Adventure of the Seas has the all types of staterooms to offer passengers including inside, outside, balcony and multi-room suites with balconies. All staterooms are well appointed, neat and clean with sufficient space for up to 2 weeks travel. In most staterooms the beds can be configured as a queen or 2 twins. Each stateroom has a small sitting area, dressers, desk and under bed storage as well.
The bathrooms are like those found on most other cruise ships - compact in size and have a sink storage, shower and toilet. There is usually shelves and/or a small cabinet for toiletries storage.
The differences between most staterooms is the square footage, location and the connection with the outside. Larger rooms are more expensive. Staterooms with aft or bow views demand a premium. Suites cost more than balconies, which cost more than outside staterooms, which cost more than inside staterooms. It is all up to your preference and budget.
Onboard, guests are catered to with the cruise line’s world-renowned friendly and engaging Gold Anchor Service by every staff and crew member.
Royal Caribbean has 4 additional ships offering sailings from New York and New Jersey.
